Produce an API - A Transparent Interface
Scenario:

He wants to make them come alive. I think 'Animoto' can do the job, but I have to manually do it.

PAL-video encoding

Improve Video Quality
The images in my completed video do not seem to be as clear as the images which I uploaded.
Is there any way to increase the quality of my videos?
Status: startedWe have recently made some changes behind the scenes which should improve the quality of our DVD-quality videos.
For the technical, we have increased the bit rate of our MP4's by 50% and our ISO's by 75%, whilst also tweaking our video encoding.
We would love to get your thoughts on these changes, and rest assured we continually are working to improve our video quality.

Not all my images make it in a video
I uploaded pictures for my video, but not all of them were used in the final video.

make iPhone uploads accessable in the "my videos" section
I just created my first animoto video with my iPhone. Unfortunately it doesn't apear in the "my videos" section, although I was logged in with my iPhone. Would be great if I would have the same options like YouTube upload etc. for that video.
Right now vids made at animoto.com can be viewed on your iPhone, but not vice versa. We'll let you know if we do that for version 3.0.

Improved gradual fade of music track
Please add an option to lengthen/improve the fade of the music track at the end of the video for a smoother, softer, fade out. Often times the track's fade is a bit abrupt, which can kill the dramatic effect of the ending.

Focal Point of Photo
I would love to be able to set a focal point for high res images. Allow more than 300 pictures in a video
Right now I can't use more than 300 images in a video. I'd like to.

Make an option to mix video with less action.
Sometimes the slideshows don't fit the music/pictures. It make the slideshow look like a high energy action movie trailer for pictures that really don't fit that mood.

I would like to see different colors, fonts, and sizes for text. Possibly even text effects
Love love love this idea. We'll continue to gauge interest in it. You might want to also vote on "text on images" which is the 2nd most requested item in this forum currently.

Has Animoto ever considered selling a desktop software package with all the features offered here?
I would love to purchase an animoto program with all of the animation features that are availalbe on this site.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately a desktop app isn't in the foreseeable future due mainly to the fact that rendering these videos requires a tremendous amount of power. So much, in fact, that we have a whole render farm of computers churning out these vids. With that said, if any major infrastructural changes occur allowing for our service to run on a PC/Mac, we'll let you know!
